William Simons, Co. K, 991st Infantry, enrolled as a substitute and mustered in 21 Mar 1865 as a Private at Williamsport, Pa. He was aged 18, with a dark complexion, brown eyes, light brown? hair and stood 5' 3". He was a laborer residing in Lycoming County, Pa. Born in Pennsylvania. Deserted 25 Jun 1865 in the field, Virginia. Sub. for G. W. Blyhispi ? (Bates, Vol. 3, p. 232.)
